Bring in paperwork to be signed by parents. 1. Math - Each student has a stapled math packet. It can be confusing at first, but here is how my packets are structured: The first 1.5 pages of tonight's packet are the "Problem Set" problems. We completed these problems in class after the lesson. The next 1.5 pages say "Homework" in the upper right corner. These "homework" problems are indeed the homework! Tonight, students are to do problems 1, 2, 3 and 5 (not 4). They do not do the next page (the Sprint and Exit Ticket). We will work on those in class tomorrow. If a student gets "stuck" - they can review the Problem Set problems which are very similar to the Homework problems. They can also watch the video on my website.
2. Paperwork! Show parents the (a) School Packet (blue sheet on top), and (b) the 5th grade packet (white letter from the teachers on top). Parents, please return the last 3 pages of the teacher packet: Book Policy (pink), Parent survey (yellow), and Volunteer sheet (purple.) 3. Read the rest of the blue Expectations Packet and sign the back. 4. Bring in a sock for math to erase the white board, if you haven't already done so. |
